About us

A local association, built around everyday digital problems

The Georgian Android Users Association was formed by residents, teachers and IT professionals who kept being asked the same question by neighbours and relatives: how do I actually use this phone for the things I need?

We are a registered non-profit legal entity in Georgia (IC: 404489512), based at 15 David Aghmashenebeli Street in Poti. Our work is unpaid and volunteer-driven. We meet people where they already are — libraries, schools, community centres, and sometimes a table in a municipal building lobby.

Android devices are the majority of phones in circulation in our region, and they are often the only computer a household owns. That makes basic Android skills — signing in safely, recognising a scam message, filling in a government form, using accessibility settings — a matter of real participation in public life, not a hobby.

We are independent and not affiliated with Google LLC or any device manufacturer. We accept no payment from participants for our training sessions or clinics.

Mission

To foster an inclusive digital society by providing education, technical resources, and advocacy for Android technology users across Georgia, ensuring equitable access to information and modern digital tools.

Vision

A digitally empowered Georgia where technology acts as a catalyst for social progress, education, and community development.

How we work

We listen first

Every programme starts with conversations in the community. Requests we hear most often — online banking safety, mobile access to public services, and video calls with family abroad — set our training calendar.

We teach in person

Sessions are small, in Georgian, and hands-on with the participant's own device. No slides about theory; the goal is that someone leaves able to repeat the task alone.

We keep records

Attendance, activity reports and organisational documents are maintained in line with Georgian law for non-profit legal entities and can be requested by any member of the public.
